1. Paestum. A real walk through history in the ruins of Paestum , watching a religious complex unique in the world , with the temples of Hera , " Neptune " and Ceres unique examples of Magna Greek architecture , comparable in beauty only to the Parthenon in Athens . Don’t miss the opportunity to walk through history , enjoying the sunsets on the ancient Poseidonia that give it an aura of timeless spirituality. 2. The hair of Venus. The small town of Casaletto Spartano holds and hides a spectacle of nature : the waterfall " Venus Hair " where the water of the " Sorgitore " flows into the Rio Casaletto , just under an old norman bridge. Some wooden walkways allow you to get a few meters from the waterfall where the microclimate that is created is a sure relief on hot summer days . The streams are so graceful and pure , so smooth in their descent that really seems to be the " Hair of Venus ." Truly , the name comes from the plant on which the waterfall flows , called " venushair ". 3. Cala bianca. It’s in Camerota , and exactly in Punta Infreschi , the most beautiful beach in Italy . A small cove with white sand , surrounded by the bitter nature typical of Cilento and crystal clear water . To declare this part of the coast , set in the Cilento National Park , as the most beautiful beach in the summer of 2013 was a survey sponsored by Legambiente. Spectacular , however small , corner of paradise that has nothing to envy to the Caribbean coasts. 4. Padula Chartreuse, to visit just for its leadership , being the largest Chartreuse in Italy and with its 12,000 m² , the one with the largest cloister in the world surrounded by 84 columns . A large spiral staircase , white marble , leads to the large library . A trip not only to discover the Chartreuse but a religious order , forgotten , the most fascinating of our country . You can admiring also the peaceful cloisters , the chapel decorated with precious marbles , large kitchen , large cellars with huge barrels , laundries and fields where neighbors were grown fruits of the earth for the sustenance of the monks. 5. Pertosa Caves. Alburni , mountains of Cilento , are famous for karst phenomenon and the spectacular caves habited since prehistoric times . Pertosa caves have a striking series of tunnels and caverns , until finishing in many natural " salt ", all with different characteristics. The guided tour takes place partly on foot and partly on a small boat crossing the river . 6. Elea – Velia. The ancient city of Elea is best known for the presence of the Eleatic school, a school of philosophy which boasts members such as Parmenides, Zeno of Elea and Melisso of Samos. Now we can see the port area, marine door, pink door, unique example of greek arch of the fourth century, the Hellenistic baths and the Roman baths, the agora, the acropolis, the Southern and the archaic district by and the tower. 7. Palinuro by boat. The wild beauty of Cape Palinuro area is incomparable and the legends increases the charm of these places. In his five-pointed Capo Palinuro guards jealously wonderful sea caves: light Blue caves, Blood Cave, Cave of the Monks, Sulphurous Cave and the Cave of Bones, visited with the typical local boats called “Gozzi”. 8. Scario. In Bussento the time has stopped: you still feel the smell of the sea, the noise of the nets that fishermen pull on boats and the sound of the bells of the churches next to the coast. Scario, is a hamlet of San Giovanni a Piro, a fishing center where you can still see the fishermen leaving for the sea at dawn and come back with their fresh fish at sunset. A bath in the calm and warm waters that touch its beaches and the aperitif at sunset are obligatory steps of the visit. 9. Felitto Gorges. Waterfalls and rapids, calcareous bridges (Ponte di pietra Tetta) and medieval bridge (Ponte di Magliano), narrow paths and sinuous curves, caves including where of Bernardo old robber lived there, probably, are the precious treasures of the oasis. Excursion for lovers of unspoiled and wild nature and for foodies, in fact complete the visit tasting of typical product: the "fusillo felittese". 10. Last but not least! The Valley of Orchids is located in the heart of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano, in the municipality of Sassano. In the "open structure" of 47 square kilometers of the valley and along a route of 13 km, you can observe varied species of wild orchids: the visitor can admire in particular 184 entities of wild orchids (68 species, 57 subspecies, 35 varieties, 24 hybrids). An immense natural heritage, celebrated every year in May with gorgeous folkloristic events, such as musical performances and local products. The view of the valley in bloom leave you breathless..
